First cookbook I ever owned!
This cookbook has a copyright date of 1957, though it might have been re-released in 1975, as I had a copy in about 1978 that was the first cookbook I
...
ever personally owned. The recipes are pretty terrible mid-'50s Betty Crocker packaged things, but as a kid, I loved that they had real kids cooking (no idea if that was true, but it rings true on the pages), with comments and tips from them that were helpful to 8-year-old me. While the recipes aren't great, there is good basic Betty Crocker kitchen info in there. A blast from my past, for sure!

1975?
Does this really have a publication from 1975? The style looks more like the 50s or early 60s. Cute little book tho, fabulous photographs inside.

great book
This is a good example of a book which was very popular at the time of its publication, but cannot be found in most libraries. I have put up several cookbooks

of this type and find them very interesting. Gerry
